Loxley ROES Frequently Asked Questions
This section discusses some common questions users have when using Loxley ROES.
Due to the bespoke nature of the products produced here at Loxley Colour, each item goes through a different production process, taking from 1-7 working days to create by hand. To produce your products in the most efficient and effective way possible, and to ensure we maintain our promise of delivering the fastest production times in the UK, orders from different catalogues are kept separate throughout the production process so as not to impact on their promised production times, which means you get high quality products, hand made with care and delivered quickly.
The images appear to be pixelated because they are only thumbnails of your images and they are not the original files. They may appear dark if you have used a colour space other than sRGB. Your final printed image will not be affected.

A few things can influence Internet transmission speeds. Broadband, by its very nature, is asymmetric meaning the upload speed is a fraction of the download speed. You may not realise this and expect your order to send much quicker than it actually will. Each Internet user is also subject to a contention ratio, which varies from ISP to ISP. This means that you may share the connection to your local exchange with a certain number of users. If they were all to be online at the same time as you, then your speeds would decrease. This is why the Internet operates at higher speeds through the night (off-peak), as there are fewer users online. The size of the individual files will affect the overall upload time of an order. Before you create a design, it would be worthwhile assessing how large an image is to be printed. The files can then be resized to a more appropriate size which will decrease the time an order takes to upload.
You can increase your canvas size using Photoshop or other software and then drop your image into the next nearest template. If you are using Photoshop, size your image to the constraints that you require, then click on the Image menu at the top of the screen and select ‘canvas size’. You can then add a canvas extension to fit one of the available sizes.
When you get to the ‘complete order’ stage you can select ‘save order for sending later’. When you have created all your orders you can then access these saved orders by clicking on the Uploads & Saved Carts section. You can then opt to ‘Send All’. Due to the vast number of orders processed on a daily basis by Loxley Colour and our quick production times, we cannot dispatch separate orders in one consignment.
Login at loxleycolour.com on the second computer & select ‘Software & support’. Next select ‘Loxley ROES’. Clicking ‘Launch Loxley ROES’ at the right hand side of the page will install the software on this computer. You may have the incorrect email address entered in the ‘my information’ section within the main ordering screen, or, the confirmation email may be treated as spam and bypass your inbox (adjust the settings on your spam filter).
Orders that have been sent online to us are saved in the ‘Uploads & Saved Carts’ section. The default length of time that these orders will be backed up for is 15 days, but you can increase this by clicking on the ‘preferences’ button. The order can be highlighted & opened as new.
Loxley ROES Cleaning Utility
For Mac OS 10.8+
If you’re experiencing launch or performance issues with the ROES software it’s more than likely picking up older files on your system and failed to automatically update.
By running the ROES Utility App will quickly remove any old ROES files from your Mac and allow for a fresh installation.
- Download cleaning utility app via link opposite
- Double click to mount the downloaded DMG file
- In the window that opens, right click (or CTRL+click) on ROES_Utility and select Open
- After a few seconds you will receive confirmation that they are no longer any old files on your Mac
- Finally, click here to download and re-install Loxley ROES
